When John graduated high school in 2000, he was offered a full-time bread baking position where he spent 13 years learning from notable bakers, kneading his way through the ins and outs of the bakery business. This extensive training helped foster his passion for the art. Between his practice with cake decorating, donut making, production baking and even managing the bakery, John gained experience in all facets of the field.
After moving to Ohio in 2013, he found himself once again pursuing his passion and showcasing his abilities by doing the very skills he learned in his previous career - decorating cakes, mixing and baking breads and managing the bakery. John’s passion for baking also stems from the sense of pride he has in his abilities, recognizing that it’s less of a science, and more of a craft. From mixing the ingredients and kneading the dough, to patiently letting the bread proof to the perfect height, John finds art in the overall, everyday act of baking. The act, in itself, is an art form that allows for continuous learning and growth.
